Being the primary Caregiver for an aging parent, a family member recovering from surgery or a friend going through hospice can be very difficult. Caregivers can easily get burnt out and many times their exhaustion can lead to their own mental, emotional and physical health problems.

We know how much time, energy and emotion goes into being a Caregiver and sometime they don’t want anyone else to help but you. Let us assist you in supporting your loved ones with homecare on a short term basis. Here are some signs of Caregiver stress (courtesy of the Alzheimer’s Association) that you should look out for:

  • • Social withdrawal from friends and activities that once brought pleasure.
  • • Anxiety about facing another day and what the future holds.
  • • Depression begins to affect ability to cope and break the Caregiver’s spirit.
  • • Exhaustion makes it nearly impossible to complete necessary daily tasks.
  • • Sleeplessness caused by a never-ending list of concerns.
  • • Irritability leads to moodiness and triggers negative responses and reactions.
  • • Lack of concentration makes it difficult to perform familiar tasks.
  • • Health problems begin to take their toll, both mentally and physically.
  • • Anger because no effective treatments or cures currently exist, and people don’t understand what’s going on.
